Numerical simulation of multi-layer 3D concrete printing

چکیده

This paper presents a computational fluid dynamics model fit for multi-layer 3D Concrete Printing. The numerical utilizes an elasto-visco-plastic constitutive to mimic the flow behaviour of cementitious material. To validate model, simulation data is compared experimental from printed walls. obtained results show that can reproduce with high accuracy and quantify extrusion load imposed upon layers. Such found exceed material’s yields stress in certain regions previously layers, leading layer deformation/flow. developed validated assist identifying optimal printing strategies, reducing number costly print failures human-process interaction. By doing so, findings this helps Printing move step closer truly digital fabrication process.
